It’s funny how the world is so small. You can live in the same town as someone, go to the same schools, and yet your paths may never cross…until just the right moment! That’s exactly what happened to Elise and Thomas. They attended both the same high school and college, but it wasn’t until a dating app matched them up that they finally met! And when they did, the connection was instant. They’ve been together ever since!
Thomas proposed last Christmas eve, by asking Elise to go for a walk and take some photos as a last-minute gift for his mom. A few selfies later, Elise turned to head back to the house. Just then, Thomas told her that she was standing in the exact spot where he fell in love with her…and pulled out a ring! A party with their nearest and dearest completed the night. Can you imagine a more perfect Christmas eve? Beautiful!
We spent such a lovely afternoon together recently for their engagement session at First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach. Elise and Thomas led me to a section of the park I’d never been to before, with these huge trees that had fallen down into the lake and lots of Spanish moss. An enchanted natural backdrop for photos! It was a bit chilly, but Elise and Thomas didn’t seem to care. They are so in love with one another, I think they were creating their own warmth!! 🙂 I’m already looking forward to their upcoming wedding, which I know will be wonderful! These two are so easy to work with, so in synch with one another. To top it all off, Elise knows just what she wants. My kind of bride! I hope you enjoy this selection of photos from their Virginia Beach engagement session.
Elise and Thomas were such troopers…and adventurers…on this cool spring afternoon! They even suggested that they climb this big tree together!
