NC Engagement Photography | Emma and Tyler

Hello everyone! It’s been a little while! I recently returned home from a wonderful trip to Brazil, and was so happy to hop back in the saddle with a very special engagement session! Meet Emma and Tyler. This beautiful couple clearly treasure their loving connection. Spending time with them behind the lens recently was such a pleasure!
A Christmas proposal story always warms my heart…and Emma and Tyler’s is extra special! These two were initially connected by Tyler’s younger brother Mark, who brought them together as potential artistic collaborators. Both musicians, Emma and Tyler soon discovered that they were definitely marching to the beat of the same drummer! Three years into their relationship, they arrived at Tyler’s house on Christmas Eve – but something immediately struck Emma: she noticed Tyler’s guitar lying on the sidewalk outside! Concerned, she started to ask questions. But when she saw the beautiful Christmas tree lit up on the porch…with a ring box sitting beneath…everything became clear! Tyler picked up his guitar and sang a song he’d written just for Emma…and then he asked her to be his wife! Through happy tears, Emma said ‘Yes’! The final surprise of the night came when the couple’s family and friends poured out of the garage to celebrate with them. So beautiful!
We had a wonderful time walking around Carrigan Farms together. This was the second time I’ve done a session on the farm, and the gorgeous grounds did not disappoint! It was so much fun to see Emma and Tyler’s rescue pup Emmitt having the time of his life, rolling on the grass, playing and exploring. This sweet Pit/Lab mix could easily be a farm dog! And I thought Emma looked so beautiful in both of her wardrobe choices, a white lace top and an elegant plum-colored maxi dress. Classic and stunning!
