Hello and Happy New Year! I’m thrilled that my first entry of 2019 is all about Caitlin and Conor’s Washington, DC engagement photos! These two are so easygoing, their session was an absolute joy, so giggly and fun! We strolled together on the National Mall, near the Lincoln Memorial where Conor swept Caitlin into a dance, and for a few moments it seemed like they were in an enchanted world all their own…which makes sense, given the way their histories are interwoven!
When Caitlin’s parents moved to DC in 1990, the first friends they made were the Bradys. And when Caitlin’s mother found out she was expecting, the Bradys were the first to know. They had a son who was just four years older than baby Caitlin, and even though they didn’t spend much time together when growing up, the two children were always in each other’s orbit. Fast forward, years later: Caitlin is at a concert, when she bumps into that boy she had known so long ago. Only now Conor Brady is all grown up. A month and a half later, they run into each other again. Finally, everything fell into place. On June 2, 2018, Caitlin said Yes to the smart, sweet, striking man that Conor Brady had become.
When I first met Caitlin, it seemed that I’d known her for years. She is a genuinely warm person, with the most beautiful, welcoming smile. A few days after Caitlin and Conor booked me, her mom sent me the sweetest email. She expressed gratitude and admiration and told me she was looking forward to sharing her daughter’s wedding day with me. It’s hard to put into words how much this gracious email meant. I was doubly touched after our session on the Mall, when Caitlin gave me a bag of delicious goodies for my drive. I’m so thankful our paths have crossed and I can’t wait to fly back to DC for Caitlin and Conor’s big day in June! I’m also looking forward to working with Cheers Darling Events, I’ve heard incredible things about them.
I hope you enjoy their DC engagement photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
