Carolina Inn Wedding NC | Melissa & James

I can’t believe it’s been eight months since I first worked with Melissa and James on their engagement session in New York City! I had such a wonderful time that day, as this kind couple welcomed me into their lives and showed me their neighborhood and beautiful home. I truly believe that working with clients on their big day is a collaboration. And collaborating is a pleasure when you’re doing it with people as generous and genuine as Melissa and James.
Their ceremony and reception took place at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill. Both the bride and groom looked amazing! Melissa was wearing a Pronovias gown that seemed like it was made especially for her. Her hairstyle recalled old Hollywood glamour, and it suited her so well! The whole look was incredibly elegant! And James was very dapper in his sleek black suit! I have to mention that this groom has such great hair!

During the ceremony, it was very moving to see both of their moms become emotional (you know I love emotional weddings!). After the ceremony, Melissa and James were beaming at their guests as they walked down the aisle together…so sweet! The reception moved indoors, where the glamorous theme was played out fully. Tall ivory-colored tapers and gold accents set the room aglow. Very magical!
Finally, I must mention how organized and responsive Melissa and James were during the planning process. I loved working with them. Their preparedness allowed them to really relax and enjoy their day when it arrived. Isn’t that what it’s all about? To top off this wonderful experience, I once again had the pleasure of collaborating with Kelley Ann from A Southern Soiree. It’s hard to put into words just how wonderful it is to work with everyone in this company! There’s really no other way to say it: they rock! As usual, Kelley Ann went above and beyond to make the day incredible. And Melissa and James, in turn, were incredible themselves!
