Sometimes the best gifts life has to offer fall in your lap quite unexpectedly! Tayler and Casey were both rushing to a training day for their very first job out of college, when their paths crossed for the first time. A friendship blossomed. Every night after work, Casey would walk Tayler to her car and they’d spend a few moments together as the day wound down. Eventually they decided to get together outside of work…and a kiss soon set their romance in motion!
These two quickly realized they were meant for each other, but Tayler was not expecting what happened at Fleetwood Farm Winery on a certain day in 2018! She and Casey were set to go on a double date with close friends. When they arrived at the winery, Casey led them to a beautiful tree on the property. All of a sudden, he was down on one knee! As a friend snapped photos nearby, Tayler said ‘Yes’ to Casey’s proposal! Soon, family and friends were arriving to celebrate the moment. Tayler had never been happier!
I am so delighted that these two asked me to photograph them. Their engagement session took place on a lovely afternoon last fall, in downtown Alexandria, VA. Tayler wore a gorgeous, flowy dress – so fitting for the time of day and year. She even sent me a picture of it before the session! I love it when brides want my opinion about their outfit choices. It shows trust! In fact, from the first time we met over Skype, I knew I would enjoy working with Tayler and Casey. They have a calm, kind energy and we connected immediately. Walking around Alexandria and chatting with them only made me more excited for their wedding – which was originally scheduled for November of 2019. But the universe had other plans for this couple! Right before we met up, they received amazing news: they are expecting! Tayler was so surprised!! With some quick re-arranging, the wedding date was moved up, and Tayler and Casey tied the knot this past December. I’m so excited to share the details of their day very soon!
